Well it has been a long spring and summer since the COVID 19 pandemic affected our world and our immediate New Leaf Community.
New Leaf management, along with our front line staff, have been busy (in spite of all the restrictions) in order to bring the people we support some normalcy and enjoyment each day.
During the spring we had window decorating and community drives to explore what each home had done to beautify the homes.
In the early summer the homes took to their gardens and used the time we had to sow seeds, grow plants and vegetables and explore the nature that each home is so fortunate to have in their own yards. New Leaf has had the wonderful advantage of outdoor space during these difficult times.
In late summer we began to utilize our main site for the homes to enjoy. We had small picnics and enjoyed pool time to break up our days.
We ended summer with garden tours and a contest for the homes.
As you can see in some of the photos, it was huge success and everyone enjoyed getting their hands in the dirt.
As we move to fall, we continue to have small sessions on our main property. We continue with very strict protocols and the people we support continue to show us how understanding and resilient they are when faced with this challenge.
